Food and Autism – Food for thought

You are not alone if your child has challenges with food and a neurodevelopmental condition, such as autism. A dietitian can help you explore the food world to access the nutrients your child needs to grow and develop.

In June 2021 the UK’s National Institute for Care and Health Excellence recognised the potential impact of these food challenges by adding recommendations on nutritional interventions to its guidelines on Autism spectrum disorder in under 19s: support and management.
